DNS Propagation

One name. Three resolvers. Compare the answers.

Focus on this tool.
Match an expected value Optional
Matches one complete record value, not part of it. Other records may also be present.

Check sends the name and your public IP to Cloudflare, Google, and DNS.SB. Use public names only.

How to read the results

After a DNS change, recursive resolvers may keep the previous answer until its cached lifetime expires. TTL shows the lifetime returned for that record, in seconds. It is not a countdown to worldwide completion.

This checks three public resolver services through DNS over HTTPS from your browser. Anycast routing chooses the servers that respond; this is not a set of measurements from named countries. It does not check your ISP, local DNS cache, or authoritative servers directly.

Comparison ignores TTL, record order, and DNSSEC signatures. It compares the requested record type; TXT content stays case sensitive. Different replies can be normal for services that distribute traffic. No record, NXDOMAIN, and an unavailable resolver are separate results. Errors never count as a match.

Use an expected value to check for a particular change. A match means that one complete record was returned; it does not mean the entire answer set is correct. Check again to take a new snapshot. The tool makes no background requests and stores no history.

Queries go directly to the three public DNS providers. This tool saves no lookup history. Tool sources & licenses
